Description
Understanding the silent "e" rule can greatly assist in reading words with the long "i" sound. When an "e" appears at the end of a word, the preceding vowel becomes long, and the "e" itself remains silent. In this activity, children will practice sounding out and writing long "i" words as they complete the provided sentences. This exercise reinforces their phonics skills and helps them grasp the concept of the silent "e."
