Description
What It Is:
A pumpkin science worksheet where students cut out vocabulary labels—leaf, seeds, stem, shell, fibrous strands, and pulp—and glue them to the correct spots on a pumpkin diagram.
Why Use It:
This worksheet builds plant science knowledge while strengthening fine motor skills through cutting and pasting. It helps children visually connect each pumpkin part to its name, reinforcing vocabulary comprehension.
How to Use It:
• Review pumpkin parts with the class (leaf, seeds, stem, shell, fibrous strands, pulp).
• Cut out the words at the bottom of the page.
• Match and glue each label in the correct box on the diagram.
• Extend the lesson by discussing how pumpkins grow and how each part functions.
Grade Suitability:
Best suited for Grades 2–3.
Grade 2: Practice labeling and hands-on plant science learning.
Grade 3: Add short written explanations of each part’s role.
Target Users:
Elementary teachers, parents, and homeschool educators teaching pumpkin science during fall or Halloween.
