Description
What It Is:
This is a Black History Inventions Bingo worksheet. It features two Bingo cards, each with a 5x5 grid. Each square contains a different invention attributed to Black inventors, depicted as simple line drawings with color. Inventions include a fire extinguisher, a lightbulb, a dustpan, a gas mask, an ironing board, a super soaker, an ice cream scoop, a lawn mower, a bicycle, a traffic light, and a horseshoe. Two squares are marked 'Free!'.
Grade Level Suitability:
This worksheet is suitable for elementary school grades, particularly 2nd through 5th grade. The images are simple and easy to understand, and the Bingo format is engaging for younger students. The subject matter is appropriate for this age group as an introduction to Black History.
Why Use It:
This Bingo game helps students learn about Black inventors and their inventions in a fun and interactive way. It promotes visual recognition, listening skills (when a caller announces the inventions), and can be used to introduce or reinforce knowledge about Black History.
How to Use It:
Print out the worksheet. Each student gets a Bingo card. A caller announces the inventions (or shows a picture of each invention). Students mark off the corresponding square on their card. The first student to get five in a row (horizontally, vertically, or diagonally) wins Bingo.
Target Users:
This worksheet is ideal for elementary school teachers, homeschool parents, and educators looking for engaging activities to teach students about Black History and inventions. It's also suitable for after-school programs and enrichment activities.
