What It Is:
This is a summer-themed counting worksheet. It features rows of different summer-related images: ice cream cones, palm trees, hamburgers, and donuts. Students are instructed to count the objects in each row and then cut and paste the corresponding number (1 through 6) from the bottom of the sheet into the box next to each row. The worksheet is labeled with standard K.CC.3.
Grade Level Suitability:
This worksheet is most suitable for Kindergarten (K) students. The activity focuses on basic counting skills and number recognition, which are key concepts taught in Kindergarten, as indicated by the K.CC.3 standard.
Why Use It:
This worksheet reinforces counting skills, number recognition, and fine motor skills (cutting and pasting). It provides a fun and engaging way for young children to practice counting objects up to 6 using a summer theme.
How to Use It:
First, have the student count the number of objects in each row (ice cream cones, palm trees, hamburgers, donuts). Then, guide them to cut out the number squares at the bottom of the page. Finally, have the student paste the correct number in the box next to the corresponding row of objects.
Target Users:
The target users are Kindergarten students learning to count and recognize numbers 1-6. It is also beneficial for students who need to practice fine motor skills through cutting and pasting activities.
