Information
Description
What It Is:
A fact triangle worksheet designed to help students understand the relationship between multiplication and division. Each triangle shows three related numbers, and students must write the four corresponding math facts (two multiplication and two division equations).
Why Use It:
Fact triangles strengthen fact-family understanding and reinforce how multiplication and division are connected. This helps build number sense, supports fluency, and prepares students for more advanced math concepts. The visual triangular model makes fact families easier to grasp.
How to Use It:
• Have students write all related multiplication and division facts for each triangle.
• Use as a warm-up, math center activity, or small-group instruction tool.
• Encourage students to check their answers by using inverse operations.
Grade Suitability:
Best suited for:
• Grade 2–3 students learning multiplication and division facts
• Grade 4 students reviewing fact families
Target Users:
Teachers, parents, tutors, and students needing practice with fact families and operation relationships.
