Information
Description
What It Is:
This is an 'End of the Year Bingo!' worksheet designed as a fun classroom activity. The bingo card contains 24 squares (plus a free space) with prompts such as 'Read more than 4 books this year', 'Has vacation plans in a different state', 'Can name 5 classmates with their eyes closed', 'Favorite subject is Math', and 'Has the same favorite ice cream flavor as you.' Students fill in the 'Who:' space under each prompt with the name of a classmate who fits the description.
Grade Level Suitability:
This worksheet is suitable for grades 3-6. The prompts are simple enough for elementary students to understand, and the activity encourages social interaction and reflection on the school year. The reading level is appropriate for these grades.
Why Use It:
This worksheet promotes social skills, reading comprehension, and memory recall. It encourages students to interact with their classmates, learn about each other, and reflect on their experiences during the school year. It provides a fun and engaging way to celebrate the end of the year.
How to Use It:
Distribute the bingo cards to students. Instruct them to walk around the classroom and find classmates who match the descriptions in the bingo squares. Once a student finds someone who fits, they write that classmate's name in the 'Who:' space. The goal is to get bingo (a row, column, or diagonal) by filling in the names for each prompt.
Target Users:
This worksheet is best suited for elementary school teachers and students in grades 3-6. It can be used as a classroom activity during the last week of school to promote student interaction and celebrate the end of the year.
