Description
What It Is:
Two identical bingo cards themed around Women's History Month musicians. Each card has the word 'WOMEN' at the top to label the columns. The bingo squares contain names of female musicians and/or songs by female musicians, such as Billie Holiday, Rihanna, Shakira, Lorde, Beyonce, Tracy Chapman, and others. One square on each card is labeled 'Free!'.
Grade Level Suitability:
Grades 4-8. The content requires some familiarity with popular music and female artists, making it appropriate for upper elementary and middle school students. The bingo format makes it an engaging activity for this age group.
Why Use It:
This worksheet promotes learning about prominent female musicians during Women's History Month. It improves listening skills, name recognition, and fosters an appreciation for women in music. It's a fun and interactive way to learn about music history.
How to Use It:
A caller announces names of female musicians or songs. Students mark the corresponding squares on their bingo cards. The first student to get five in a row (horizontally, vertically, or diagonally) shouts 'Bingo!' and wins.
Target Users:
Elementary and middle school students, music teachers, history teachers, and educators looking for engaging Women's History Month activities. Homeschooling parents can also use this as a fun educational activity.
