Description
What It Is:
This is a Women's History Month Musician Bingo worksheet. It features bingo cards with a grid labeled 'WOMEN' across the top. Each square contains song titles and artists, such as 'Hit Me With Your Best Shot by Pat Benatar,' 'Stronger by Britney Spears,' 'Como La Flor by Selena,' and 'Hold On by The Alabama Shakes'. Some squares contain the word 'Free!'. There are two identical bingo cards shown.
Grade Level Suitability:
This worksheet is suitable for grades 6-12. The musical artists and song titles require some familiarity with popular music, making it more appropriate for middle and high school students. The bingo format is simple to understand and can be adapted for different learning levels.
Why Use It:
This worksheet can be used to celebrate Women's History Month while engaging students in a fun and interactive activity. It promotes listening skills, recognition of female musicians and their songs, and encourages participation. It also serves as a tool to introduce students to a diverse range of female artists across different genres.
How to Use It:
Call out song titles or artists featured on the bingo cards. Students mark off the corresponding squares on their cards. The first student to get five in a row (horizontally, vertically, or diagonally) shouts 'Bingo!' and wins. The 'Free!' spaces can be marked off immediately.
Target Users:
This worksheet is targeted towards middle and high school students, music teachers, history teachers, and educators looking for a fun and engaging activity to celebrate Women's History Month. It can also be used in after-school programs or as a supplemental activity in the classroom.
