Information
Description
What It Is:
This is a character traits worksheet. It defines character traits as qualities a person possesses. The worksheet instructs the student to write down something a character might do, say, or think in a story that would show each character trait. Six boxes are provided, each labeled with a different character trait: cheerful, resilient, insecure, resentful, optimistic, and determined.
Grade Level Suitability:
Grades 3-5. The vocabulary and concepts are appropriate for elementary school students learning about character development in literature and social-emotional skills.
Why Use It:
This worksheet helps students understand and identify character traits in literature and real life. It promotes critical thinking, creative writing, and empathy by asking students to consider actions, words, and thoughts associated with specific traits.
How to Use It:
Students should read the definition of character traits at the top of the worksheet. Then, for each listed trait (cheerful, resilient, insecure, resentful, optimistic, determined), they should write down an example of something a character with that trait might do, say, or think.
Target Users:
Elementary school students, teachers, and homeschool parents who are looking for resources to teach character traits, improve writing skills, and develop social-emotional awareness.
