Information
Description
What It Is:
A multi-skill geometry worksheet on rhombuses. Students (1) decide if a quadrilateral is a rhombus, (2) find area using diagonals, and (3) determine unknown angles using rhombus properties.
Why Use It:
Builds conceptual understanding and procedural fluency: equal sides, perpendicular diagonals, and opposite/adjacent angle relationships. Great for review, assessment, or test prep.
How to Use It:
• Part 1: Classify each quadrilateral as a rhombus or not (justify by properties).
• Part 2: Compute area with A= (d1 x d2)/2 from given diagonals.
• Part 3: Use angle properties (opposite angles equal, adjacent supplementary, diagonals bisect angles) to find the missing measures.
Grade Suitability:
Best for Grades 7–10
Grades 7–8: Intro to special quadrilaterals and area formulas
Grades 9–10: Proof-based reasoning and mixed-practice review
Target Users:
Middle & high school students, math teachers, tutors, and homeschool educators.
