Why Should We Need Gratitude?

Expressing gratitude for what we already have rather than trying to make do with what we lack is the essence of thankful or appreciative thinking. Research indicates that feeling grateful and expressing appreciation can boost positive, upbeat, and empathetic emotions.

Children and adults can develop the practice of focusing on their blessings by keeping a gratitude diary, using printable gratitude prompts, "I am Grateful" worksheets, and appreciative printables like this gratitude turkey. Having gratitude attracts plenty. We receive more for what we are grateful for and experience greater satisfaction in life when we are grateful for what we already have.

How To Use Thanksgiving Thankful Worksheets

Step 1: print the thankful printable template.

You may either doodle your own "I am thankful for" template into your bullet journal or download and print the gratitude worksheets that you are interested in. Although standard printer paper certainly works perfectly, we prefer to print on cardstock because it is thicker.

Step 2: Fill in the blank spaces in the worksheet with the names, dates, locations, and items you are most grateful for.

Complete the blanks on the worksheets to indicate what you are grateful for. Use colored pencils or gel pens to write or draw an answer in each "I am thankful for" box, for example. Adding stickers, pictures, and magazine clippings to this free Thanksgiving template is another entertaining decoration idea.

These Thanksgiving gratitude worksheets can also be used to help children with early reading. First, ask young children to draw their answers if they are in preschool, kindergarten, or primary school. The word for each blank should then be written in the corresponding space.

Several Tips For Thanksgiving Gratitude Worksheets

Sense it with your heart:  Give yourself time to feel grateful for every entry. One excellent approach to achieving this is to take your time when drawing your answers. Gratitude art therapy is what I like to call it!

Prioritize people and activities over things: We will always be happier with the people and meaningful experiences in our lives than with the things we have. In order to foster greater sentiments of thankfulness and gratitude, concentrate on people and things.

Think about your life without them in a few minutes: Examine what you would be most grateful for not being there to heighten your sense of gratitude. To feel more grateful for the person, location, or object, consider what it would mean without it.

Make it individual: Take the time to make your entry unique.  You might spend more time concentrating on life's blessings by concentrating on sentiments of thankfulness. Decorate your Thanksgiving worksheets with stickers of thankfulness, gel pen doodling, and anything else that cheers you up!

Display thankful printables: As a subtle reminder of the blessings in your life, place your Thankful Worksheets wherever you will see them frequently. You could, for instance, tape one to the mirror in your bathroom or bedroom, hang one from the fridge using fingerprint magnets or place one in a frame and place it next to your desk.
